Apple has been producing Mac computers since 1976 and has set itself apart from the rest of the technological world. Apple supporters have avidly followed each step the company has taken in creating "the unthinkable."
Sony was nearly destroyed when the iPod took the place of the Walkmans everyone was using at that time. The iPod was sleeker, had more features, and was a breakthrough in technology that music listeners had long be waiting for.
A recent marketing campaign trying to show how unadvanced PCs are compared to Macs has further boosted profits as well as Macs' popularity. Their computers are continually being developed so that they are faster, smaller, and more resilient.
Steve Jobs has really been an asset to the company, helping predict what is coming next before other competitors can dominate the market. Once the iPod was released, he knew it needed to be taken to a higher level. What would be better than a portable music device where you could upload thousands of songs, play games, store contacts, etc. The obvious answer was a phone that could do all of that and more.
AT&T's business changed drastically on June 29th, 2007, when Apple finally released the long awaited iPhone. Many of those who were against Apple at the onset quickly converted once they began to see all of the applications they could obtain on one of the new iPhones.
You can pay bills, use the GPS, play games, and check your Facebook at the touch of a finger. Rumors are floating around that the iPhone may no longer be AT&T exclusive. Nothing could be confirmed by either company, but as time progresses, technology gurus are predicting the iPhone will be available to all cell phone providers.
The Apple tablet/ipad
seems to be what has everybody taking about the upcoming press conference.
Gearlog.com says that it heard from a third party, overseas manufacturers, that the screens will be starting at 10 inches and only go up from there. The iPad has been designed to provide consumers with a broad span of entertainment capabilities. They can read e-Book, watch movies, play games, and more on their touch screen pad.
While the announcement may come this year, it isn't expected to make an appearance on the market until early next year. Prices are forecasted to range between $500 and $700.
It has been leaked that iPod will be getting a new and improved look. They are planning on adding a camera to the product. It is also rumored that they are going to phase out the iPod classic and phase in a new touch screen iPod nano.
With all of the new updates that could potentially be coming, there is talk of updating iTunes to a newer version, which would be iTunes9.
Apple will prove whether all of the rumors that have been floating around are fact or fiction within the next few years. Hopefully the company will provide the consumers with everything they are hoping for and more.
